“BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME….”
This is a popular saying in real estate and related development. It implies that human beings chase after development, regardless of how far-flung. People will find their way to it as long as it is attractive. It explains why people go around the world either as tourists or emigrants. Infrastructure attracts.

Write This is a popular saying in real estate and related development. It implies that human beings chase after development, regardless of how far-flung. People will find their way to it as long as it is attractive. It explains why people go around the world either as tourists or emigrants. Infrastructure attracts.
In Uyo, just a few weeks ago, a brand new ten-lane superhighway was opened and named Idongesit Nkanga Way after the first indigenous Governor of the State.
The new 10 lane- Idongesit Nkanga way
This road runs around the city linking key sections from the airport, via newly emerging residential areas east and west of the city. This is another addition to several key infrastructure projects over the last two decades that have turned Uyo, the Capital City of Akwa Ibom State from a semi-rural village into a rapidly growing hub.
Another such infrastructure is the Godswill Akpabio stadium, which has put Uyo on the international map by hosting many matches of Nigeria’s most popular brand- the Super Eagles. In addition to this, just recently all eyes in Africa were on Uyo when the stadium hosted Africa’s premier club soccer event, the CAF Confederation Cup finals between Orlando Pirates of South Africa and RS Berkane of Morocco. It was a keenly competitive event, where the Moroccans eventually prevailed to somewhat break the hearts of the Akwa Ibomites who seemed to root for Orlando Pirates because one of their players was Nigerian Olisah Ndah.
Despite that, Most fans agreed that it was world-class soccer played in Uyo, and the Moroccans were deserving winners.
These and several other remarkable initiatives include the new high-rise 21-story Dakkada tower and office park, recent advancements in attracting international petroleum refineries, oil and gas operations, the new seaport project and so much more.
The emergence of Akwa Ibom as a business hub is advancing. In fact, with the growth of the Ibom airline, and the expansion of the Victor Attah airport and maintenance facilities, Uyo is positioned to become an aviation hub bridging the East and the West.
It is a good time for growth-focused investors to jump in and grow as the region grows. It brings to mind the rise of Japan after the Second World War. As the nation rebuilt its war-devastated infrastructure, property developers such as Tackichiro Mori leveraged and grew.
Eventually, Japan became one of the world’s choicest real estate locations, property value skyrocketed, demand grew, and property investors such as Mr. Mori emerged as some of the world’s wealthiest people.
It is a good strategy to grow alongside a growing region. This is a good time to invest in Akwa Ibom State.
At NYTC, we are here to help you invest in Akwa Ibom real estate safely and profitably.
